Five of the borough police officers are assigned to the Washington county District Attorney's Drug Task Force. These officers bring this expertise back with them as they patrol the streets of Canonsburg. Vacation Home Checks Prevention and community oriented policing is a big part of our efforts. This can be seen if you every travel through Canonsburg late at night. While most are asleep, our officers are "walking the beat" checking the local businesses for any break-ins or suspicious activity, along with Town Park area, Valley View Terrace and local schools. The police department responds to 5,000 to 7,000 calls for service every year. |
